Access Consultant and Lighting Designer
Abi has consulted on access for companies and organisations including Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Flawbored, ASYLUM Arts, Theatre 503 and in association with TourettesHero and the National Theatre. Their access work with Flawbored and ASYLUM Arts on It's a Motherf**king Pleasure and Surfacing have received Offie Award Nominations. Abi’s access consultation specialises in embedding access within the creative process, sensory adaptation, relaxed performances and visual stories. They also have experience developing access related curriculum and training for educational institutions.
Abi has designed lighting with companies including FlawBored, Theatre 503, The Donmar Warehouse (NT Live), Dundee Rep (Scottish Dance Theatre), The Watermill Theatre, ASYLUM Arts and York Theatre Royal. In their lighting design work they have particular interest in science fiction, horror, satire and dark comedy, as well as projects with a focus on queer, trans, disabled people and other marginalised groups.
